It is an old renovated 19th century Pullman train that really carried people 120 years ago. The car is equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, a tub, and an old rotary phone, in case you forget your phone charger.

It has been said that Theodore Roosevelt slept in this train cars bedroom. The car has been completely renovated, but it still has some very old world charm with the tapestries and wooden accents.

What To Do In Fredricksburg?

Cruise main street. There are over 150 shops and boutiques in this area, restaurants and music as well. If you ae new in town or just need lift the City Trolley Tour starts at Fredericksburg Convention and Visitor Bureau, 302 E Austin St, Fredericksburg, TX 78624, and lasts 1 hour 15 min. Mainly traveling the Main Street District with stops in the Historic District. The local tour guide will teach you a few things about the town and the breeze might feel nice.

If you are a shopper, the Christmas Store on Main is a delight any time of year. You can grab a coffee or pastry at The Pharmacy to start your day and really spend hours in the kitchy boutiques and gourmet stores on Main. Also right in that area is Burger Burger, if you are traveling with kids it's a safe bet that everyone will find something they can eat. Burgers, gourmet salads, and the elusive chicken tender basket can be found here.

Hike Enchanted Rock

Scoot out of town and take the Enchanted Rock hike. Open daily from 630 am to 10 pm, it offers 11 miles of hiking trails. The one everyone comes for is the Summit Trail, this one isn't very long. On the last busy day it took less than 2 hours round trip. The Summit Trail offers the most beautiful sweeping views of the Texas Hill Country. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes. The folks in flip flops never look very comfortable on the last section.
